Casa 15 Café in Alicante: Cosy, Dog-Friendly Spot for Food and Coffee

Yesterday, 16th we had the pleasure of visiting Casa 15, a charming café tucked away at Carrer del Tucumán 15, 03005 Alacant. From the moment we stepped inside, it felt like we’d discovered a well-kept local secret.

The space is thoughtfully designed—split-level with a cosy upstairs seating area perfect for an afternoon chat or quiet moment. It’s also ideal as a small party venue, with touches that speak volumes about the love and care put into its decor. Beautiful artwork lines the walls, fairy lights twinkle across the windows, and nearly every surface features vases, candles, or lush greenery, giving the café a warm and vibrant feel. A rocking chair nestled in the corner adds a touch of homey nostalgia.

Best of all, Casa 15 is dog-friendly, making it a welcoming stop-off for pet lovers exploring the city.

A Feast for the Senses

We ordered the Ensalada Griega (Greek Salad)—and it may well have been the best we’ve ever had. Generous chunks of cheese, sliced onion, tomatoes, cucumber, peppers, and olives combined into a fresh, flavourful dish that truly stood out. Spanish feta hits differently—it’s creamy, balanced, and far from the crumbly, overly salty version often served back in England.

To accompany the salad, we shared Guacamole with Salmon served on sliced baguette and a house favourite: Cecina con queso crema y mermelada de higos—cured air-dried beef (similar to jamón), cream cheese, and fig jam atop a baguette. It was an unexpected but unforgettable flavour combination that we’re already tempted to recreate at home.
