Young Ukrainian brands showcase at London Fashion Week

London, UK - February 19, 2024 - On February 16, four young Ukrainian fashion brands presented their latest collections at the UA in UK Fashion Show in London, organised by the Ukrainian community group UA in UK Community. The event was part of the official London Fashion Week schedule and aimed to showcase the talent and creativity of Ukraine's emerging fashion designers, as well as remind the international community of the ongoing war in Ukraine on its second anniversary.

The UA in UK Fashion Show specifically focused on supporting young Ukrainian brands, who need promotion on the global stage to shape the future of the country's fashion industry. "Ukraine is a land of creative people, and many Ukrainian designers are already globally recognised," said Oleksandra Volkova, founder of UA in UK Community. "We hope to see more Ukrainian representatives in fashion every year. However, young talents need support, which is why we proudly showcase these brands in the UK."

This season, the showcase featured sustainable and upcycled designs from four brands: Innna (women's casualwear), Sofi Rich (women's casualwear), Upslowuse (upcycled/casual), and Andreas Moskin (men's wear). "This was an exciting challenge and responsibility to represent Ukraine internationally," said Inna Semenyuk, founder of Innna. "I believe this is just the beginning for me and other young designers here."

The fashion show attracted over 100 international influencers as guests. The organisers thanked partners for supporting emerging Ukrainian designers and promoting Ukrainian fashion globally despite difficult circumstances. Makeup was provided by Ukrainian brand Polyakova.beauty, owned by singer Olya Polyakova. Hair styling featured cosmetics from the Ukrainian brand LECO.
