Ukrainian designers shine bright: Tamar Keburia, J'amemme, and Gasanova steal the spotlight at London Fashion Week
Ukrainian Fashion Week is set to dazzle London Fashion Week with a showcase of three prominent Ukrainian fashion brands: TAMAR KEBURIA, J'AMEMME, and GASANOVA. This collaboration marks the third consecutive season of support from the British Fashion Council and London Fashion Week for Ukrainian designers. Despite the challenges posed by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, these designers continue to thrive creatively, with their collections serving as a testament to resilience and solidarity.
TAMAR KEBURIA, known for its emotive designs, presents "Reflections," a collection inspired by the experiences of refugees and the universal quest for empathy in a world marked by strife. GASANOVA's collection, titled "The Woman with Pepper," celebrates the strength of Ukrainian women amidst adversity, rejecting pity in favour of international support. J'AMEMME pays homage to nature's beauty with a collection blending art and environmental consciousness, drawing inspiration from Ukrainian illustrator Okhrim Sudomora's work and incorporating innovative pleating techniques.
The joint show at London Fashion Week, supported by the USAID Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine, is part of the "Support Ukrainian Fashion" Initiative, launched by Ukrainian Fashion Week to provide visibility and opportunities for Ukrainian designers on the global stage. By showcasing their collections amidst the backdrop of conflict, these designers aim to secure orders on international markets and continue their creative endeavours despite the challenging circumstances in their homeland.
